Cycling Biography

Payton MacDonald is primarily an ultra-distance bikepacker. He has completed numerous tours and races over the years, including the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (2,500 miles), the Allegheny Mountains Loop (400 miles), the TransWisconsin (583 miles), and scores of overnighters and self-made routes anywhere from 50 miles to 300 miles, all self-supported, carrying his own food, water, camping gear, tools, and clothing. Payton likes putting in big days, riding from dawn to dusk, but he also likes stopping at beautiful places and making music, listening to the world, and feeling the vibrations of our remarkable and precious planet.
