Payton MacDonald’s work centers around sonic exploration.
New work is out with Void Patrol with Elliott Sharp, Billy Martin, and Colin Stetson, and Super Marimba Band, with Mark Stone, Shawn Mativetsky, and Damon Grant.
He has also recently launched his Sonic Peaks project, a follow up to his groundbreaking Sonic Divide adventure. Both events combine experimental music with extended time in nature completing intense cycling and hiking events, captured on film.
